Each booking includes one hour of exclusive use of the Wānaka wedding venue. This covers your arrival, ceremony, photos, and a short celebration afterward.

You can bring up to 10 guests for a small and intimate wedding. No pets allowed unfortunately. If you would prefer to elope, just the two of you, that is fine too! We’ll sort the 2 witnesses you need!

Absolutely! While we keep things streamlined, you can still personalise elements like vows and music. We’ll also weave elements of your story into your ceremony so you feel all the love!

Yes! Your ceremony is fully legal. As part of your welome pack, you’ll receive instructions on applying for your marriage license. Once you’ve ordered it and emailed it to us as hello@alpinealtar.co.nz, we’ll print your papers and bring them on the day.

We’ll have you married in 15 mins. Leaving you time to chill, have a drink, eat cake or squeeze in some photos outside around the stunning historical grounds.

Yes—guests are welcome to BYO drinks but not food. We recommend keeping things simple to fit within your one-hour experience. If you have ordered a cake with your package – you can definitely eat that! We will bring it for you on the day. Alpine Altar will provide glassware, a cake stand, cutlery and plates for you and if you have wedding guests too.

Your wedding booking time is fixed, so arriving late will reduce your wedding ceremony and photo time. We recommend arriving at least 10–15 minutes early to make the most of your experience.

Our pop-up wedding venue is next open: 27 – 29 August, with timeslots available for 10-11am, 12-1pm, 2-3pm and 4-5pm each day. Simply choose your preferred available time slot and secure it with a 50% deposit. We’ll send your invoice once we’ve received your booking. Your remaining balance is due one month before your wedding date. If you book within 30 days we ask for full payment.

Deposits are non-refundable as your wedding time slot is reserved exclusively for you. Please contact us as early as possible if your plans change.

You can wear anything you like! Our Wānaka pop-up wedding venue does not discriminate. Note – your celebrant will be in sparkles

Yes! Your wedding photographer will capture key moments during your booking. Details on delivery timelines will be provided by your photographer after your wedding. You’ll have approximately 50 glorious photos.

Not this time. We’ve created this package so that you don’t have to. We’ll provide your photographer who is an experienced wedding photographer in the area. For other vendors before you get to Alpine Altar, like hair & make up etc. we’ll send you recommendations in your welcome pack.

You get married! This is the beauty of our indoor wedding venue! Keeping you, and your guests dry and warm and feeling all the love.

Yes, there is parking available outside the wedding venue which is Cardrona, Wānaka. Parking details will be provided ahead of your booking so you and your guests can arrive with ease.
